#4 - our first few months
July 12, 2019
This post is dedicated to you, our customers and supporters. From all of us at Radical (there aren’t many), THANK YOU:
Thank you for (re)connecting to your coffee.
Thank you for empowering rural coffee farmers on Lake Atitlan, Guatemala.
Thank you for funding human potential.
Thank you for getting radical.
Your support has helped push this project forward. We unofficially launched the Radical Coffee Project last fall with only four sacks of coffee and a little bit of hope. Reflecting on the past 6-7 months since, it has been an absolute whirlwind of activity. Out of all the things we have learned since we started, our biggest takeaway has been the importance of relationships. It is impossible to accomplish anything without help. We are incredibly thankful for the people we have met and the connections we have made since launching. Everything we do at Radical is driven by relationships based on trust, respect, and collaboration. In a time where daily actions have become automated and impersonal, we cherish the relationships between the members of our team, the relationships with our farming partners, the relationships with our business partners, and the relationships with you, our customers.
Running a small business is incredibly tough and can be defeating at times, but it has been the strong connections within our Radical team and our immediate external partners that have propelled us despite the challenges. At the end of the day, our core mission is to (re)connect communities through a transparent and fair business transaction. And that wouldn’t be possible without community in the first place.
We have had an absolute blast connecting with all of you and we hope that you feel the same. Cheers to the first months, and onward with the next!
